THE MERCY CLINIC 'Taking A Little Breather'

February 24, 2007

Guitarist Brian Harrah of THE MERCY CLINIC — the new San Francisco Bay Area-based band featuring former DAMAGEPLAN frontman Patrick Lachman, guitarists Harrah and Josh Stinson (DRIST),bassist Steed Najera (TRIPLE SEVEN),and drummer Bevan Davies (DANZIG, COMES WITH THE FALL, JERRY CANTRELL) — has issued the following update:

"I know it's been forever since I have updated any of you on whats going and I apologize for that but I've been busy as hell.

"So first things first...

"For those of you who haven't already heard, Pat is going out on tour to fill in on guitar for KILLSWITCH ENGAGE. Adam D. is recovering from a serious back injury and we wish him well and a speedy recovery. The tour kick[ed] off February 21 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania so if any of the CLINIC is going to the KILLSWITCH shows, make sure you throw down some support for Pat! Here is the article that Blabbermouth posted [on February 20].

"Back to CLINIC news...

"Obviously since Pat is tied up with filling in for KILLSWITCH for the next month or so, the CLINIC will be taking a little breather from recording and writing. The music is going really well and there have been alot of changes and experimenting going on. I've always said that we wouldnt release anything until we were 100% in approval with it and that still stands, but I will tell you that the songs we have finished and do love are amazing. Once Pat is back from his KILLSWITCH duties, we will start up again in finishing what we have left and in the meantime as always, I just keep writing and writing."

THE MERCY CLINIC recently spent time in the studio recording material which it will be using to either procure a suitable record deal or release on its own. The band has uploaded full-length versions of the demo songs "Let It Burn", "Masochist" and "Can I Become Me" at its MySpace page.

THE MERCY CLINIC has already demoed over an album's worth of material, including such additional cuts as "Numb" (mp3),"Drag Me Under", "We're Only Human", and "The Day the Sun Refused to Shine".
